Campo Fire and Rescue is a 501c3 Not For Profit Corporation, serving the Campo Community. Follow this link to view the Campo Fire, area of responsibility. If you would like to get involved as a volunteer or help in our auxiliary please call, call or e-mail us.
The Campo Fire and Rescue Communications Auxiliary is composed of local Federal Communications Commission (FCC) Licensed Amateur Radio Operators (Hams). Using their home and private vehicle equipped ham radios and staffing the departments Emergency Operations Center (EOC) during emergencies, the Communications Auxiliary provides primary communications to the community and backup communications for local public service agencies. Various members of the team are trained and attached to, The San Diego Sheriff through the Radio Amateur Civil Emergency Service (RACES) Team, The American Red Cross , and the San Diego County Office of Emergency Services.
The Campo Fire Station 46 is currently serving as a reserve and training station for the San Diego east county area. The Campo Fire Board is jointly using the station as a meeting place for activities related to fire prevention and education with the Real East County Fire Safe Council and CERT.
The next Fire Board meeting will be at the fire station, April 12th, 2016, 6;30 PM. If you have projects or suggestions on how we can assist the community in fire preparedness or education please email the Board at .
